- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chunks
- 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
Method
-
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

In a large bowl mix the butter and both sugars. Beat until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 1 minute.

Add the eggs and vanilla beating for an additional 30 seconds until well combined.

In a bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture while beating on low speed.

Continue mixing until the mixture is thoroughly combined. Fold in the chocolate chunks and chips.
-
Place 1/4 cup mounds of cookie dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper about 4 inches apart and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cookies are browned around the edges. (You should be able to fit 3 cookies on a standard size sheet.)
-
Place on a wire rack and cool. Repeat with remaining dough.
