Creamy Sausage Gnocchi

creamy sausage gnocchi

This is a 30 minute one-pan creamy garlicky tomato-based Italian sausage gnocchi that the whole family will enjoy.

Creamy Sausage Gnocchi

Tips for making this:

  • If you don’t want to use white wine you can substitute it with chicken broth, but I highly recommend using the white wine because it will give it so much more flavor.
  • This dish is best served right away, so it is something you shouldn’t make to early in advance.
  • I have used half heavy cream and the other half and half if you want to cut down on fat and calories.

Where to find Gnocchi?

  • You can find uncooked potato gnocchi in the Italian aisle or by the pasta.

How to make this one-pan creamy sausage gnocchi:

  • Start by browning the Italian sausage in a pan over medium heat, making sure you don’t make the pieces to small when cooking you want them still a little chunky.
  •  Add in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant about 1 minute. Add in the white wine and diced tomatoes, let cook for a few minutes.
  • Pour in heavy cream and gnocchi turn heat to low and cover for about 8 minutes or until gnocchi is cooked. Stir in parmesan cheese, basil, salt, and pepper. And that is all there is to it!
