Guava Cheese Pastries

Guava and cheese pastries

A delicious buttery and Cuban pastry filled with guava and cream cheese, it is actually called Pastelitos de Guayaba y Queso

Tips for Guava Cheese Pastries

  • These Cuban pastries are best served warm
  • If you have leftovers store in a container in the refrigerator, to reheat the pastries at preheat oven to 400 degrees for 10 minutes
  • or you can microwave them for 20 seconds but, microwaving won’t keep them as crispy

Guava Paste Vs Guava Jelly

  • Guava paste is super thick and can be sliced for things
  • Guava Jelly has the same flavor but is runny I like to use the jelly because it spreads out a little better in the pastry
  • But either one will work perfectly fine and both are delicious
