Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • For the Browned Butter Frosting: 1/4 cup butter, 2 cups powdered sugar, 4 ounces cream cheese softened, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 cup pecans chopped

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. 2Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. 3In a medium bowl cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in sour cream and eggs, scraping down the sides of the bowl. Add the mashed banana and vanilla.

  8. 8Frost the banana bars and sprinkle with pecans.
